Chairman’s Message

I am delighted to send this message on the occasion of launching of CEYFFA website which is the  need of the hour.

CEYFFA was incorporated in 2013 amidst many issues, mainly to cater to the needs of the small and medium scale freight and logistics operators in our country as there was no representation  in any of the forums to raise the voice of the voiceless. Since then this primary objective is being achieved and am very pleased with it.

Since 2013, we have made representations to the Finance Ministry,  government institutions, ministry of shipping, SL Customs and have made our presence most visible and have raised the profile of CEYFFA as the Voice of the Freight Forwarders within  and outside the industry.

Our recent  strategic alliance with CASA is one of the milestones in our short history and the current legal battle over the Government Gazette concerning the  licensing, THC , Local handling cost , Transhipment cost are being handled by CEYFFA and the success will be evident soon.

Members issues and concerns are being addressed and we are always available for any consultation you need in order to do your business satisfactorily.

One of  the, need of the hour, is to get much needed volunteers to assist us in various sub-committees and to have the experts in each area working hand in hand with us to serve CEYFFA and to simply the processes to enhance country’s competitiveness. I appeal all of you to join our Sub-Committees and give your valuable time to work with us in achieving the  overall objective of CEYFFA and to ensure the supply chain is seamless in Sri Lanka.

Its time to give and I appeal to you to come forward in our march towards prosperity.
